Natural Area Status & Details
Bobcat Ridge
The entire natural area is CLOSED until the summer of 2021 due to the Cameron Peak Fire.
Eagle View
Not yet open to the public.
Maxwell
Maxwell Natural Area is OPEN with some wet and muddy areas. Please stay on the trail.
The Banyan road access is closed to vehicle access. Pedestrian and bicyclist access is available but may be periodically closed as Fort Collins Utilities finishes up the drainpipe project. More information is located at www.fcgov.com/drainpipe
Picnic Rock
Picnic Rock will be closed through Friday, April 9 for improvements to the site's recreation infrastructure, habitat, and parking lot.
Soapstone Prairie
Soapstone Prairie is open. Trail advisory in effect for snow drifts and icy trails on northern slopes.
Soaring Vista
Sewer line easement construction at Soaring Vista Natural Area will begin Friday, April 9. Please stay away from the construction zone. The site is closed to the public.
Topminnow
Not yet open to the public.

Rangers monitor conditions at closed trails daily, and reopen as soon as conditions allow. Trail closures are posted here and:

Paved trails such as the Spring Creek Trail, Mason Trail and Poudre River Trail are managed by City of Fort Collins Parks. Conditions are posted on COTREX.
