Posted on: Aug-26-2016
Fort Collins Utilities' Water Reclamation and Biosolids Division is the proud recipient of two Gold Peak Performance Awards for water treatment excellence. The awards program, presented by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), recognizes public wastewater treatment facilities for outstanding compliance records in 2015.This is the second consecutive year the Mulberry and Drake Water Reclamation Facilities have received the award, which honors treatment works that achieved 100 percent compliance with their National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit for an entire calendar year.
"Fort Collins Utilities' water reclamation facilities are outstanding examples of environmental efforts," said NACWA's Chief Executive Officer Adam Krantz. "NACWA is honored to showcase the achievements of Fort Collins and our nation's public wastewater utilities through the Peak Performance Awards Program."
NACWA recognized Utilities and a select group of winners from across the country during the Association's 2016 Utility Leadership Conference and 46th Anniversary Annual Meeting in July.
