Fossil and Stanton Creek Stream Rehabilitation Project#
Stream rehabilitation and projects repair areas of streams where the ecology, safety, structure and water quality of the stream have changed over time. The Fossil Creek Project will address the impacts from agricultural flows through Fossil Creek and work with existing conditions on Stanton Creek to create a more sustainable channel.
Location of Project#
There are thirteen stormwater basins across Fort Collins. This project focuses on Fossil Creek basin and Stanton Creek basin.
The Fossil Creek portion of this project will run from Trilby Rd to the Union Pacific railroad tracks.
The Stanton Creek portion of this project will run from Carpenter Rd to the confluence with Fossil Creek.
