Educational Bus Tours#

Choose your own Utilities adventure with an educational bus tour of Fort Collins Utilities’ water or energy supply systems. Witness the behind-the-scenes work that goes into providing high-quality drinking water or reliable electricity. All tours meet at the Utilities Administration Building, 222 Laporte Ave., and run 8 a.m.–4 p.m. with lunch provided.

Must be 18 or older to participate. Participants can expect to stop at multiple points throughout the day and should be prepared for periods of sitting, standing and optional walks of up to one mile to points of interest. Please consider the high altitude and mountain roads for the Watershed Tour and the long drive times for the Power Trip when deciding whether a trip is right for you. Participant safety is a priority for the City; attendees are expected to comply with safety guidelines.

Did You Know?

Mowing with a dull blade tears grass and stresses the lawn. Always be sure to mow with a sharp mower blade.

When it rains and as snow melts, runoff carries pollutants such as oil, antifreeze and gas down storm drains, contaminating our rivers, streams and lakes. Don't drip and drive.

Using a microwave oven for warming, reheating or cooking food uses less energy than an electric oven.
