April 24, 2024
FORT COLLINS, Colo. - South Lemay Avenue remains fully closed to traffic between Harbor Walk Drive/Ticonderoga Drive and Whalers Way/Wheaton Drive (between East Horsetooth Road and East Harmony Road) due to water main breaks beneath the roadway. City of Fort Collins Utilities crews are continuing to repair the water line, while City Streets and Engineering crews assess and repair damage to the roadway. Crews expect repair work to be complete on Friday, April 25, if no additional complications arise.
The original water main break beneath Lemay occurred Tuesday, April 22 near Ticonderoga Drive. Two additional water main breaks on the same line occurred on April 23 and 24, resulting in continued repairs and a prolonged road closure.
Lemay will remain closed between Harbor Walk Drive/Ticonderoga Drive and Whalers Way/Wheaton Drive until repair work is complete. All through traffic on Lemay should continue to use South College Avenue or South Timberline Road during the closure.
No impact to City of Fort Collins Utilities water service is expected as a result of the work.
