Original message:

Beginning Saturday, March 13, Utilities Stormwater crews will be working on Lemay Avenue between Drake and Columbia roads under a full road closure. Work is anticipated to last through March 21 to improve capacity in the stormwater drainage system.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on Lemay Avenue beginning Monday, March 22 through the remainder of the project. The project is estimated to take approximately eight weeks, weather permitting.

The stormwater work will impact north and south bound Lemay traffic. Pedestrian access in the area will be maintained.

Throughout the project, residents in the surrounding neighborhoods can expect heavy machinery, construction-related traffic and stockpiles of materials. Local access, trash services and mail delivery will be provided. During March 13-21, work hours will be 7 a.m.-5 p.m. (including weekends) to get Lemay reopened. After March 21, regular workdays will resume, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

This is one of many projects along the Lemay Avenue corridor occurring in 2021. For additional information on other projects ongoing in this area, visit fcgov.com/lemay2021.
