Major impact: Laporte fully closed at Meldrum until Aug. 1
Laporte Avenue is fully closed to all traffic at Meldrum Street until Friday, August 1 due to a sewer line replacement beneath the roadway.
- Westbound traffic on Laporte detours onto Sherwood Street to Maple Street or Mountain Avenue
- Eastbound traffic on Laporte detours onto Mason Street to Maple Street or Mountain Avenue
Major impact: Fourth of July closures
All roads in and around City Park will see traffic impacts on Friday, July 4 due to Independence Day celebrations:
- All roads inside City Park will be closed all day on July 4.
- Mountain Avenue will be closed from Howes Street to Grandview Street from 6 a.m.-12 p.m. for the Independence Day Parade and FireKracker 5k.
- Shields Street will be closed from Laporte Avenue to Oak Street from 6 a.m.-12 p.m. for the Independence Day Parade.
- Eastbound Laporte will be closed from Taft Hill Road to Grandview Street from 6-10 a.m. for the FireKracker 5k.
- Northbound Taft Hill will be closed from Mulberry Street to Laporte from 6-10 a.m. for the FireKracker 5k.
- Westbound Mulberry will be closed from Shields to Taft Hill from 6 a.m.-12 p.m. for the Independence Day Parade and FireKracker 5k.
- Mulberry will be closed from Shields to Taft Hill from 5 p.m.-12 a.m. for the fireworks show.
Major impact: Trilby fully closed at College Avenue from until Spring 2026
Trilby Road will be fully closed to traffic at College Avenue (U.S. Highway 287) beginning Monday, July 7, 2025 and lasting until Spring 2026 while the City reconstructs and improves the intersection of College/U.S. Highway 287 and Trilby. Traffic traveling on Trilby between Shields Street and Lemay Avenue will have no access to College/U.S. Highway 287 during this closure.
- All traffic on Trilby needing to travel east/west across College/U.S. Highway 287 will be detoured to Harmony Road via Shields or Lemay
- All eastbound traffic on Trilby needing to travel north on College/U.S. Highway 287 will detour via Lemay and Harmony to reach College/U.S. Highway 287
- All eastbound traffic on Trilby needing to travel south on College/U.S. Highway 287 will detour via Lemay and Carpenter Road (State Highway 392) to reach U.S Highway 287
- All westbound traffic on Trilby needing to travel north on College/U.S. Highway 287 will detour via Shields and Harmony to reach College/U.S. Highway 287
- All westbound traffic on Trilby needing to travel south on College/U.S. Highway 287 will detour via Shields and West 57th Street in Loveland to reach U.S. Highway 287
A temporary traffic signal will be available at the intersection of Triangle Drive and U.S. Highway 287 to facilitate safe access between U.S. Highway 287 and the Ridgewood Hills neighborhood during this closure.
Two lanes of traffic in each direction (northbound and southbound) will remain open on College/U.S. Highway 287 during this closure.

Northwest Fort Collins#
Fourth of July traffic impacts
All roads in and around City Park will see traffic impacts on Friday, July 4 due to Independence Day celebrations:

Meldrum Street fully closed from Mountain to Maple June 9-Sept. 1
Meldrum Street will be fully closed to traffic from Mountain Avenue to Maple Street from Monday, June 9 through Monday, Sept. 1 for utility work. Traffic will be able to cross the closure on Laporte Avenue during the work after Aug. 1. The section of the closure between Mountain and Laporte is expected to reopen by Aug. 1, pending the speed of the project.
Oak Street, Meldrum Street impacted by Oak Street Stormwater Improvements
West Oak Street will experience closures between South Meldrum Street and South Washington Avenue as a part of the City's Oak Street Stormwater Improvements project, replacing critical stormwater infrastructure beneath the roadway. Closures will vary based on work progress.
Virginia Dale Drive, Overland Park parking lot impacted by utility work
The 2800-3000 blocks of Virginia Dale Drive, including the parking lot at Overland Park, will be impacted by utility work related to Fort Collins-Loveland Water District's Western Backbone Project between March and July. During this time portions of the Overland Park parking lot will be used for construction equipment staging and storage.

Southeast Fort Collins#
Power Trail closed between Keenland and Trilby
The Power Trail is closed to all traffic between Keenland Drive and the intersection of East Trilby Road and Southridge Greens Boulevard due to the construction of the new Siphon Overpass, which will connect the Power Trail with the newly opened Mail Creek Trail via an overpass over the Union Pacific Railroad. The Power Trail will reopen when construction is complete in October 2025. Bicycle traffic using the Power Trail should use Keenland Drive, Lemay Avenue, and Southridge Greens Boulevard during the closure.
Trilby fully closed at College Avenue from until Spring 2026

Construction resuming at the intersection of College and Trilby
The City will resume construction at the intersection of South College Avenue (U.S. Highway 287) and Trilby Road in March. Specific construction impacts will be updated here when available
Northbound Shields experiencing lane closures between Horsetooth and Drake
Northbound Shields Street will experience lane closures between West Horsetooth Road and West Drake Road during summer 2025 due to natural gas utility work by Xcel Energy.

College/Drake Intersection Improvements
The City is currently in the design stage of improvements to the College and Drake intersection. This project may begin construction in 2026.
