Open Streets June 16th

June 16th, 2019 8:30am at Putnam Elementary

Open Streets is a car-free, family-friendly event. On Sunday, June 16, 1.5 miles of Maple St. will be closed to cars from Putnum Elementary to Lee Marinez Park. Plazas, or groupings of vendors and food trucks, will transform the empty street into a comfortable place to play. Come play at the event or volunteer to help make it possible!


Bike to Work Day

June 26th, 2019 6:30am

Join the fun at Fort Collins' 32nd Annual Bike to Work Day! Ride your bike to work (or anywhere) and stop by one of more than 50 free breakfast stations between 6:30 a.m. -9:30 a.m. located all around Fort Collins. Visit the FC Bikes website (www.fcgov.com/bicycling) about a week before the event for a station map.

Discuss traffic safety laws and responsibilities for both cyclists and motorists, shared responsibilities, and how to avoid crashes or conflicts. Earn a Bicycle Friendly Driver certification upon completion of the course.

June 18th, 2019 6:00pm

Discuss traffic safety laws and responsibilities for both cyclists and motorists, shared responsibilities, and how to avoid crashes or conflicts. Earn a Bicycle Friendly Driver certification upon completion of the course. This class will be held at Jax in Loveland located at 950 E Eisenhower Blvd, Loveland, CO 80537.


Bike Handling Skills Practice at the Hub

July 20th, 2019 9:00am at Walk and Wheel Skills Hub, 1600 W Drake Rd

Join Bicycle Ambassadors at the Walk and Wheel Skills Hub for a bike handling skills practice session. Ambassadors will teach you basic to advanced handling skills and crash avoidance techniques catered to your bicycling experience level. Every June, Colorado celebrates Bike Month and here in Fort Collins, we love anything that highlights and promotes people who ride bicycles

Each year on the fourth Wednesday of June, FC Bikes hosts its signature Bike Month event: Bike to Work Day (BTWD). Fort Collins' Bike to Work Day is a biannual event to encourage people to bicycle for transportation, experience the benefits of riding a bike, highlight Fort Collins' extensive bike routes, and demonstrate that bicycling is an easy, fun and healthy means of traveling around the city.

Join us for Fort Collins' 31st annual Bike to Work Day on June 27, 2018 between 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.!


Bike to Work Day 2018

Fort Collins' 31st Annual Bike to Work Day will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Ride your to work (or anywhere) and stop by one of more than 50 free breakfast stations located all around Fort Collins. Check back for the 2018 Breakfast Station Map, which will be available here a week before the event. 

On your way home FROM work, swing by our Bike From Work gathering at Intersect Brewing, Co. From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., we'll have live music, a food truck, and plenty of Bike to Work camaraderie. Stay tuned for more details. Intersect Brewing, Co. is located at 2160 W. Drake Rd. suite A1. The Hampshire Bikeway is a terrific and easy way to get there. 


May-September: National Bike Challenge

Bike Month is a great time to sign up for the National Bike Challenge. Join thousands of people across the nation as they log miles on their bicycles: it is a free and easy way to challenge yourself, colleagues and the greater community to ride more. Users compete on a local, state and national level.
