Natural Areas Facilities and Reservations

Natural Areas Exhibit At Fort Collins Museum Of Discovery

The Natural Areas exhibit at the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery is a great place to learn about the shortgrass prairie ecosystem and find natural areas to visit!

Primrose Studio

Primrose Studio is a space we provide to the community at cost. But faced with decreased revenue and inadequate staffing, its continued operation for the remainder of 2020 is no longer financial viable. No reservations are being accepted for the rest of 2020.

Primrose Studio at Reservoir Ridge Natural Area is available for rent by the public for gatherings. More information >>>

Gateway Natural Area Shelters, Turf Area And Groups

To protect the health of our community and staff, shelter reservations at Gateway Natural Area are not being accepted until further notice.

Gateway Natural Area is only 15 miles from Fort Collins in the Cache La Poudre Canyon. You'll find hiking trails, a designated launch area for kayaks and canoes, fishing, picnic tables with grills, and informational kiosks. Two picnic shelters are available on a first-come, first-served basis or can be reserved. Groups over 15 people need a permit or a shelter reservation. The parking fee at Gateway is $7 or an annual pass is available. More information about Gateway Natural Area and its facilities >>>
