Fort Collins Police Activate Red Light Cameras at Two Additional Intersections

Released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023

Previously, we reminded our community of the red-light camera enforcement program at some intersections in the city and notified them about the addition of two new intersections with red light camera enforcement. Those intersections are South Shields Street at West Harmony Road and South Lemay Avenue at East Drake Road.

Beginning tomorrow, the cameras at the new intersections will issue warnings via the mail to the registered owner of a vehicle for a red-light violation. This warning period will last for at least 30 days. On or after November 25, 2023 the registered owner of a vehicle captured by the system for a red-light violation will be issued a civil infraction citation that costs $75 but zero points against one’s driver’s license.
