Body Worn Cameras#

In August 2012, Fort Collins Police Services began using twenty Body Worn Cameras for officers on patrol primarily in the downtown area. Police Services later expanded the program by forty more cameras for patrol officers at a cost of $181,300. By 2018, all uniformed officers were equipped with body worn cameras to record interactions for traffic stops, arrests, disturbances, etc.
