Winter Hours/Closures

Restroom Facilities are typically open between the hours of 5am-11pm Mon-Fri; in the winter the hours open decrease and vary.

Winter Closures
Restrooms: Many of the restroom facilities in Parks are closed in the winter and winterization typically starts taking place between mid-October thru mid-November. This is because the restrooms do not have an ability to be heated. In many parks a port-a-let will be available during the winter.

Parks with Restroom Facilities open during the winter:

  • City Park, by playground
  • Edora, by ballfields
  • Fossil Creek, by the Oval
  • Rolland Moore, by tennis courts and playground
  • Spring Canyon, by playground
  • Twin Silo, by the playground
  • Drinking Fountain in Oak Street Plaza Park in use year-round

Ballfields & Turf Fields: We do not reserve fields from the first weekend in November through the third weekend in March. Winter allows our fields to "rest"; and if they are being reseeded and/or rejuvenated in the spring, and should not be played on, there will be bollards placed on the fields.

Winter Hours
Lights at Tennis Courts during the winter hours are available until 9:00pm.
