Fort Collins residents have an opportunity to review and provide comment on the first draft of the City’s new Active Modes Plan.
The plan covers existing and potential networks, support facilities, policies, and programs for active modes of transportation, including bicycles, pedestrians, electric scooters, and skateboards, among others. It is the official update to the City’s 2011 Pedestrian Plan and 2014 Bicycle Plan.
FC Moves, the City’s transportation planning department, is leading the effort.
“We’re excited to have a renewed vision and strategy for making active modes of transportation safe, accessible, convenient, joyful, and desired by people of all ages and abilities,” said Cortney Geary, the City’s Active Modes manager. “Getting broad and diverse feedback on the draft plan is critical to ensure it reflects the community’s priorities.”
Public review and comment on the draft Active Modes Plan will be open from July 25 through Aug. 24. The plan will ultimately be reviewed and approved by City Council.
