Fort Collins announces more public reopenings of facilities

Released on Wednesday, July 1, 2020
Contact Information

The City of Fort Collins continues to reopen more facilities to the public, with the Lincoln Center and splash pads set to open next week.

The City is following a phased approach based on the latest available guidance and regulations from health officials and the State of Colorado. Not all buildings and amenities have reopened, though more openings are expected in the coming weeks.

Face coverings are required in all buildings, and the public is expected to observe physical distancing as much as possible.

The following facilities, programming, and amenities have announced reopenings. These are in addition to previously announced openings:

  • The Lincoln Center is reopening in a limited and safe capacity beginning on Monday, July 6. As our community gets back to business, The Lincoln Center provides an ideal place for holding small-scale meetings and events of up to 50 people while accommodating current physical distancing requirements. The Lincoln Center’s indoor and outdoor event spaces are available for rental and future usage. Inquiries can be made by calling 970.221.6733 or emailing bGNyZW50YWxzQGZjZ292LmNvbQ==. Additionally, The Lincoln Center Box Office will reopen and resume regular operating hours (Tue–Sat, 12 p.m.– 6 p.m.) beginning on Tuesday, July 7. All other access into The Lincoln Center is restricted and limited to those attending a ticketed or scheduled event.
  • Splash pads located at Spring Canyon Park and Fossil Creek Park will open the week of July 6. The Old Town Square splash pad, financed by the Downtown Development Authority and maintained by the City, reopened last week. Signage will be posted limiting the number of users at one time along with physical distancing recommendations. Splash pads will remain operational through Labor Day.

All other City buildings and facilities that haven’t announced openings remain closed to the public. Additional openings will be announced as they become available.
