Police Investigate Injury Collision

On May 16, 2017 at approximately 2:56 pm, Fort Collins Police were notified of an injury collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Taft Hill Road and Prospect Road.

A 2008 Kia Rio, driven by Mary Kennison, 29, was travelling east on Prospect Road approaching Taft Hill Road when a 2002 Nissan Maxima, driven by David Adkins, 58, made a left turn in front of Kennison’s vehicle from westbound Prospect Road. The front end of the Kia Rio collided with the front end of the Nissan Maxima.

Kennison was transported to Poudre Valley Hospital with serious injuries. Adkins was transported to Poudre Valley Hospital with minor injuries.

The intersection of Prospect Road and Taft Hill Road was closed for approximately 5 hours while the Fort Collins Police CRASH Team investigated the incident. Police suspect drugs were a factor in the collision. The investigation is on-going and charges are pending.
