image for press release Recreation Department’s February Event Calendar The City of Fort Collins Recreation Department is your community resource for staying active and connected in the Fort Collins community. Recreation offers programs and activities for all abilities. In addition to traditional programming, Recreation will host a number of unique events throughout February including a Trips & Travel excursion to the Fire & Ice Festival and the Hysterical Café Comedy Show at the Senior Center. Hysterical Café Comedy Show
Friday, Feb. 24 (4:30-6 p.m.)
From comedy to drama, short scenes to full blown epics, Comedy Brewers, Fort Collins’ premiere improv group, are ready to entertain with hilarious games and interactive fun. This family friendly show begins at 5 p.m.; tickets are $15.

Spring Recreator Registration
Thursday, Feb. 2 (7 a.m.)
Spring is just around the corner, and Recreation is ready with spring and summer programming. The spring edition of the Recreator is now available and includes information about our favorite events like Kites in the Park, and programs like upcoming spring and summer Day Camps. Registration begins February 2.

Fire & Ice Festival, Loveland
Saturday, Feb. 11 (2-8 p.m.)
Journey with Recreation’s Trips & Travel Program through the transformed Downtown Loveland and explore the magic where fire and ice collide. This award winning festival in the heart of the Sweetheart City brings together music, culinary skills, and sculpting through mediums of fire and ice.

Treats to Treat Your Valentine
Wednesday, Feb. 8 (6-8:30 p.m.)
All you need is love…. but, a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt. Take a cooking course through Recreation and let the sights, smells, and tastes of truffles, tarts, and other decadent treats endear you to your partner’s heart this Valentine’s Day.
