The segment of Bay Rd. between Niswender Rd. and Prospect Rd. and the Mason Trail between Niswender Rd. and the Spring Creek Trail reopened on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. These areas were closed as crews continued site cleanup from the installation of the Spring Creek Overpass.
While the trail has reopened, construction is not yet finished. The overpass will not be ready for pedestrian use until May as crews continue ramp tower construction, pour concrete bridge deck and crosswalk, and do finish work. There is still work occurring in the area. Cyclists and pedestrians are advised to slow down, avoid distractions and proceed with caution while travelling through the construction zone. Thank you for your patience.
MAX is on the Way!
Construction of the MAX Bus Rapid Transit system will continue through early 2014, with MAX service beginning in May 2014. MAX will offer passengers rail-like convenience at 12 stations and two transit centers between Downtown and Harmony Road, with service every 10 minutes during peak service hours and real-time bus arrival information at each station. MAX will connect Downtown Fort Collins, Colorado State University, Midtown and south Fort Collins, providing many new economic redevelopment opportunities near station locations.
