to benefit At-Risk Youth in Larimer County

Tuesday, September 24, 2013 (Fort Collins, CO)-The Steve’s Club Battle Ready Beat the Streets team CrossFit competition will be held Saturday, September 28th at Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 E. Willow St., beginning at 10:00 a.m. Teams can consist of two individuals of any age (parent and child teams, youth teams, adult teams) who will be challenged to complete the Workout Of the Day (WOD) as quickly as possible. The WOD may include partner exercises, team puzzles, obstacles and more. Adding to the fun will be CrossFit booths, food, music and prizes.

Participants can register for Beat the Streets online at The registration fee is a suggested donation of $25. Proceeds will benefit Steve’s Club Battle Ready’s Youth CrossFit program at Northside Aztlan Community Center. Steve’s Club and its participating members provide a national network of programs through which at-risk or underserved youth of any socioeconomic background can join in the CrossFit Community at a reduced, low or no cost structure. On top of personalized coaching and mentorship, youth participants of Steve’s Club Battle Ready learn and discuss the values of integrity, improvement, teamwork, support, positivity, discipline, character and community.

Steve’s Club is held at Northside Aztlan Center every Thursday at 4:15 p.m. and is open to all youth 8-18 years old. Scholarships are available and made possible via proceeds from the Beat the Streets competition.
