Party Registration#
Party Registration Suspended
Colorado State University and the City of Fort Collins are suspending the Party Registration program until further notice in response to the COVID-19 health crisis.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Colorado Department for Public Health and Environment, the White House are encouraging all community members to practice social distancing, which includes avoiding gatherings of 10 people or more. After assessing this guidance from state and federal entities, we have determined that promoting social distancing to help to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus is something that we need to elevate at this time.
We are asking all CSU students and long-term residents to consider following these recommendations and have determined that suspending the Party Registration temporarily is in the best interest of public health. This includes suspending any parties that are currently registered and now allowing any new additional registrations at this time.
This suspension will last until further notice.
It is encouraged to avoid off-campus gatherings of any type. We are expecting students/residents to follow these guidelines and while it may feel tempting or appropriate to gather together in small or large groups to have parties because of the access to free time or because you are at lower risk of infection, now is the time to show Ram Pride and community support and put the greater community needs before your own interests. Even if you are not symptomatic you can be a carrier of the virus so it’s important to distance yourself from others during this time. Please avoid having off-campus parties until the state and federal recommendations have changed.
Prevent Possible Noise Tickets with Party Registration#
What is Party Registration?
Party Registration is a cooperative effort between Colorado State University and the City of Fort Collins to provide party hosts with an opportunity to receive a warning, providing a 20-minute window to voluntarily terminate a party after a noise complaint is received.
Can I register any party on any day of the week?
Yes, you can register a party for any day of the week! All parties must be registered by the Thursday before your party. If you are hosting a Thursday gathering, you will need to register that event at least a week in advance, on the Thursday before the event.

Non-students may register parties anytime between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday by visiting Neighborhood Services IN PERSON at 281 North College Avenue. An ID is necessary to confirm that the party host is over 18 and provide contact information.
