Winter Bicycling Classes

Bicycle Friendly Driver Certification Course (formerly Sharing the Road with Cyclists): Recreator Activity Number 109592 | Thursday 2/11 4:30-6:00 PM at Northside Aztlan Center | Monday 3/7 4:00–5:30 PM at EPIC Center | Wednesday 3/30 7:00–8:30 PM at Foothills Activity Center. Do you ever wonder how to safely navigate roads when cyclists are present? In this presentation we discuss traffic safety laws and responsibilities for both cyclists and motorists, shared responsibilities, and how to avoid crashes or conflicts.
Smart Cycling (formerly TS101): Recreator Activity Number 409590 | Saturday 2/20 8:15 AM–4:30 PM at Westbridge Medical Suites | Saturday 3/26 8:15 AM-4:30 PM at Westbridge Medical Suites. This fun course is for beginners, returning, and seasoned cyclists. Gain confidence to ride safely and legally in traffic or on trails. Learn on-bike handling skills, crash avoidance techniques, and how to conduct bicycle safety checks.
Everyday Cycling: Recreator Activity Number 109591 | Monday 3/7 6:30–8:00 PM at Edora Pool Ice Center | Wednesday 3/30 4:30–6:00 PM at Foothills Activity Center. Whether you are traveling to work, running errands, or traveling to visit friends, you can Go By Bike! Learn the benefits of using a bike for transportation and how to make it possible. Learn what to ride, what to wear, what to carry, how to carry it, route selections, and safety techniques.
Cycling in Winter | Interested in riding year-round, but not sure how to prepare for the colder season? Learn tips and techniques to help you ride safely, confidently, and comfortably. Topics include what to wear, what to ride, safe winter bike handling, route selection, and winter bike maintenance. Cycling in Winter course offerings have concluded for the season. Check back in 2016 for future offerings.

Bike Winter Celebration | Friday 2/5 6:00–9:00 PM at Wolverine Letterpress and Publick House 316 Willow Street. Celebrate year-round cycling! Join us for festivities and to see the Bike Winter Photo Contest exhibit. Bring the entire family for free fun!
Bike Winter Photo Contest | Thanks for submitting your photos to our Bike Winter Photo Contest! Entries have closed. Check out the submissions on FC Bikes' Facebook page and see the top photos on display at Wolverine Letter Press and Publick House during the month of February. The top three photos will win a special prize to be awarded during our Bike Winter Celebration on 2/5.
Light Up the Night | Did you know that front lights are required on bicycles at night? Are you in need of a light? Stop by one of our “Light Up the Night” events to receive important cycling related information and a free light to keep you riding bright (while supplies last). Fun and free for the entire family! Light Up the Night events have concluded for the season. Check back in 2016 for more offerings.
Winter Bike to Work Day | Similar to the Summer edition, Winter Bike to Work Day - organized by FC Bikes - features stations throughout Fort Collins that provide breakfast, coffee, bike repairs, and fun to reward those who arrive by bike. Winter Bike to Work Day 2016 will be Wednesday, December 14.
Holiday Lights by Bike | Join the FC Bikes Bicycle Ambassadors for a tour of some of the best holiday lights in the city - by bike! Enjoy hot drinks and treats after the tour.
