Fort Collins Utilities provides reliable and high-quality water to customers by:

• diverting and storing raw water supplies;
• processing water at treatment facilities;
• distributing treated water; and
• assuring water quality during each step.

Voluntary conservation efforts are highly recommended, even though water supply projections do not indicate the need for mandatory watering restrictions.

To prevent pollutants and contaminants from entering the city's water system, backflow prevention assemblies are required on sprinkler systems.
