Go Xeric with a Professionally Designed Garden-In-A-Box

Posted on: Apr-18-2013

Fort Collins Utilities is partnering with the Center for ReSource Conservation (CRC) to offer several professionally designed xeriscape gardens. Utilities water customers will receive a $25 discount on each garden.

Water restrictions can be tough on lawns. This is a great opportunity to add a xeriscape with regionally appropriate plants that add curb appeal and cut outdoor water use.

Each Garden-In-A-Box contains 15 to 28 low-water use plants that thrive in Colorado’s arid climate and comes with planting and maintenance instructions. Design options include Western Horizon (15 plants for $99), Morning Sunrise (28 plants for $134) and Shady Jubilee (26 plants for $134). To order, visit http://gardenstore.conservationcenter.org or call (303) 999-8320 ext. 222.

Orders must be placed and pre-paid by Tuesday, May 14. Garden-in-a-Box kits will be available for pick up in Fort Collins, Sat., May 18, 9 a.m. to noon, at The Farm at Lee Martinez Park, 600 N. Sherwood St.
