Bicycle
Used bicycles can often be repaired, donated to local thrift stores, or sold to local bike repair shops for refurbishment. Check with local stores and bike shops for donation options.
Bicycles that cannot be repaired can be recycled as scrap metal at https://www.fcgov.com/recycling/atoz/items/?item=30">local scrap metal recyclers, or at one of the drop-off locations listed below.

The Hard to Recycle Materials Yard is co-located at the Timberline Recycling Drop-Off Center. There is a $5 facility use fee for the Yard, and additional fees apply for some recyclables (See website for more details). When only dropping off paint or cardboard, no entry fee is required. Oil-based, enamel, & Latex paints (interior/exterior) are accepted, as are various other coverings (deck coating, varnish, floor paint, primer, sealer, & stains). Scrap metal dealer. Accepts all major appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, ranges, washers, dryers, microwaves, toaster ovens (remove plastic parts), and hot water heater tanks. Cash for aluminum cans. Accepts helium tanks but does not accept propane tanks or small liquid fuel stove canisters. Also accepts satellite dishes. |

Accepts electronics, appliances, #6 white block foam, plastic bags, bubble wrap, mattresses, yoga mats, cooking oil, bicycles, clean porcelain toilets and sinks, plate glass windows, scrap metal and more for recycling and reuse. See website for a full list of materials. There is a $3 facility fee for all vehicles entering the CHaRM to recycle hard-to-recycle materials in addition to fees for specific items.
