The Hard to Recycle Materials Yard is co-located at the Timberline Recycling Drop-Off Center.

There is a $5 facility use fee for the Yard, and additional fees apply for some recyclables (See website for more details). When only dropping off paint or cardboard, no entry fee is required.  Oil-based, enamel, & Latex paints (interior/exterior) are accepted, as are various other coverings (deck coating, varnish, floor paint, primer, sealer, & stains).

Items Accepted (no additional fees required):

  • Antifreeze (30 gallon limit per visit)
  • Used Motor Oil(30 gallon limit per visit)
  • Batteries (Lithium ion batteries temporarily not accepted; commercially generated batteries are not accepted)
  • Cooking Oil: (25 gallon limit per visit)
  • Scrap Metal: Includes non-refrigeration types of appliances
  • Aggregates: Concrete (no rebar); broken ceramic dishes; toilets and porcelain sinks (without cast iron layer). Must remove all hardware and seats
  • Baling Twine

The Loveland Recycling Center accepts a wide variety of materials, including #1-#7 plastic tubs, waste cooking oil, scrap metals, and other hard to recycle items including hard backed books. Fort Collins residents should expect to pay a fee to drop off yard and wood waste. Electronics (TVs, computers, monitors, etc.) require a small fee. Batteries are free.

Loveland residents must present a current yard debris permit to drop off yard/wood debris.  To obtain a permit, call the Solid Waste Division at 970-962-2529 or stop by the office at 105 W. Fifth St.

Accepts electronics, appliances, #6 white block foam, plastic bags, bubble wrap, mattresses, yoga mats, cooking oil, bicycles, clean porcelain toilets and sinks, plate glass windows, scrap metal and more for recycling and reuse.  See website for a full list of materials.

There is a $3 facility fee for all vehicles entering the CHaRM to recycle hard-to-recycle materials in addition to fees for specific items.  Fee for appliances with Freon (R) is $15.

Accepted materials include televisions, computers, laptops, printers, game consoles, cells phones, and more.  I.T. Refresh also provides onsite hard drive destruction and guarantees the safety of your data. I.T. Refresh also accepts bubble wrap and foam peanuts to reuse as shipping material.

Managed by Waste Managment, the Electronic Recycling Center is located inside the Larimer County Recycle Center. We recycle computers, monitors, peripherals, fax machines, photo copiers, printers, TVs, VCRs, stereos and DVDs. The electronics program does not accept appliances, microwave ovens, or electrical equipement such as electric mowers. There is a fee of $.44 per pound. Cash and credit cards accepted.

Through a partnership with Terracycle, binders are accepted for free for recycling at this location. Binders must be empty, any condition, any brand.

Recycle electronics by purchasing a mail away box.  Call store for details. Accepts ink and toner cartridges for recycling.  Will shred paper for a charge. Does not accept already-shredded paper.

Tech Trade-Up program allows customers to upgrade their electronics (laptops, tablets, calculators, desktop computers, smartphones and all-in-ones) to a newer version of said electronics and Office Depot will receive and recycle the old device. Click here for more information.
