Refrigerators contain Freon, meaning they must be specially recycled. If the appliance is in good condition, consider trading it in or selling it to a used appliance store. They can be recycled at the drop-off locations listed below. Fees may apply; contact specific location for details.
State law requires Freon be removed by an appropriately licensed company before disposal.
They should never be put in curbside recycling or trash.
