Existing Fort Collins building codes include many elements that support green building. The building code green amendments represent next steps along the path of integrating green building practices into mainstream construction.

Staff has developed, through a comprehensive stakeholder process, two packages (residential and commercial) of green building practices, which were adopted by City Council.

Applies to single-family detached housing, duplexes, townhomes and low-rise (one- to three-story) multifamily housing.
