A free bilingual (English & Spanish) center that provides business owners and entrepreneurs critical resources to create, launch, and grow a business in Fort Collins. They also help navigate permits and licenses in Fort Collins. All services at the MBEC are free.

Instructions for Submitting an Application! Please Read!#

These instructions are for any application that is not a renewal.

These instructions ONLY apply to New, Transfer, or Changes in Corp/LLC Structure applications.

  • These instructions are for ALL applications, except for Renewal Applications.
  • Files must be submitted as a PDF. Preferably as one PDF.
  • Pay City Fee online (link is below). Include your City receipts with your application.
  • If you do not currently hold a liquor license, do not pay the State fee until instructed to do so.
  • If you have any questions please contact Regulatory Licensing Specialist Aimee Jensen at liquorlicensing@fcgov.com or 970.221.6315.
  • Request a secure link to submit your application from Aimee Jensen at liquorlicensing@fcgov.com. You do not need a secure link for:
    • Liquor Special Events Permits
    • Sidewalk Service Area Permits
    • Temporary Modification of Premise
    • Modification of Premise
    • Corporate or Trade Name Changes
    • Change of Location
    • Surrender of License
    • Manager Registration
  • Applications must be received no later than 5 pm the business day before your appointment.
  • After submitting your application using a secure link, make an appointment to review your application with her. The appointment link is below.
  • All applications are reviewed via Zoom.
  • Instructions specific to your type of application are included below.

Regulatory Licensing Specialist Aimee Jensen is unable to accept any applications sent as an attachment to an email unless otherwise instructed. Keep in mind that I am unable to give legal advice. If you have questions or concerns about how to complete your application, consider consulting with an attorney.

Use this link to pay your State fees! Be sure to include the receipt with your application when submitted to the City Clerk's office. Do not pay the State fee if you are applying for a new or transfer of ownership application. Scroll down a few clicks to get to the Online Payment button.

Pay State Liquor Application and Fees Online!

Pay City Liquor Application, License Fees and Code Violations Online!#

Fees for paying online are as follows: ECheck - $.50. For Debit/Credit card payments is 2% plus $.25, then 2.75% over $2500. If you choose to pay by ECheck make sure you have the correct account and routing number; if incorrect, you will be charged additional fees.

Transfer of Ownership

If there is currently a liquor license at the premise you are considering, you will need to apply for a transfer of ownership.
