Join us at the 2024 Business Appreciation Celebration#
Join us from 3-5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 07, 2024 at Colorado State University's Translational Medicine Institute, 2350 Gillette Dr., for the City of Fort Collin's annual Business Appreciation Celebration, where business owners, managers, representatives and leaders are celebrated for their contributions to the community.
We're excited this year to have a conversation around circular economy. In the traditional linear economy, materials follow the chain of "take, make, waste." Whereas in a circular economy, products come with only what is needed, last longer and, when they can't be used anymore, they are easily and safely recycled. For Fort Collins, the circular economy is about rethinking current processes to effectively utilize natural resources to increase supply chain stability, create sustainable employment opportunities and ensure the resilience of our natural and built environment.
The event will include a panel discussion with local Fort Collins business leaders, including:
- Dan Garvin, president of Colorado Iron and Metal
- Sonali Diddi, associate Professor, Department of Design and Merchandising
- Tatum Cochran, compulsive dancer/general manager, Horse and Dragon
We’ll also be premiering a short film during the program that features various Fort Collins businesses sharing their authentic experiences as business owners, leaders and entrepreneurs in our community.
Fort Collins business owners, leaders, and representatives are invited to join us for hors d’oeuvres.
Dress attire is Merchday Thursday: wear your favorite local business swag! Feel free to sport a t-shirt, pin or hat from your favorite local business, and don't hesitate to rock your own business swag too!
