Economic News chatted briefly with Brown Abrams, founding owner and CEO of FiberLok Inc. about the company's role as an NFL licensee in this year's Super Bowl. That means providing ChromaFlex patches for player jerseys and other products. He employs 75 people. Abrams relocated the company to 811 Stockton Ave. in the greater Fort Collins area from St. Louis, Mo., in 1992.

Q: What's your role with the Super Bowl?
A: We've been the onfield, exclusive supplier for two years. Sideline apparel - this year that's new. The third area is retail licensed replicas this year through Nike.

Q: What do you do?
A: For 35 years, we've created original graphic reproduction processes for a wide variety of markets and applications. Those have tended to focus the most on textile and apparel applications and on sports markets. We create products that are designed and articulated for an unarticulated demand. We design products for people before they know they need they need them and we're well ahead of the curve.

Q: How long have you been in business?
A: My grandfather started this business in 1912.
