Tree-mendous Treasure Tour

90 minutes

Explore trees through this treasure hunt themed program. Students will travel from station to station to explore ecosystem history through the rings of trees, the gifts that trees give us, how a tree’s structure and the functions of their parts are just like us, and the mystery behind pine cones while their plant their very own tree seed.


  • Life Science: Living things have characteristics and basic needs.

1st Grade

  • Life Science: An organism is a living thing that has physical characteristics to help it survive

2nd Grade

  • Life Science: Each plant or animal has different structures or behaviors that serve different functions

3rd Grade:

  • Life Science: The duration and timing of life cycle events such as reproduction and longevity vary across organisms and species

4th Grade:

  • Life Science: All living things share similar characteristics, but they also have differences that can be described and classified
  • Life Science: There is interaction and interdependence between and among living and nonliving components of systems

5th Grade

  • Life Science: All organisms have structures and systems with separate functions
