A unique and naturalistic garden featuring Colorado native plants, adapted plants suited to Colorado growing conditions, and an outstanding collection of dwarf conifers set amongst locally quarried rock. The rocks and perennial plants are artistically arranged to reflect natural rock and plant relationships. The Rock Garden opened in 2011 and represents the largest rock garden in northern Colorado.
The Rock Garden also showcases dozens of specialty bulbs throughout the season. You may be surprised to find that the colors within this garden are always changing; during the summer, these colors may vary as often as every week!
This garden was developed through the collaborative efforts of our Gardens staff, local industry professionals, and volunteers from various organizations. Because of the tremendous hard work of everyone involved, the garden was established in only one weekend!
Look for The Rock Garden to the north of the Visitor's Center. Cross the bridge and The Rock Garden is immediately to your right.
