Garden Explorers Club
kids exploring the gardens

Come make friends and learn what it takes to be a Junior Master Gardener. Each afternoon students will have time to safely explore The Gardens with a small group of friends, practice reading all about gardens and the animals that live there at age appropriate levels, and engage in hands-on garden STEM. Garden STEM lessons are structured to support grade specific science standards being taught in school through fun place-based learning.

This eight-week program is designed to provide elementary students (Kindergarten through fifth grade) a chance to learn all about gardening, socialize and explore safely with a small set group of peers in a primarily outdoor setting.

Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays  |  2 - 5 p.m. (Drop off from 2:00-2:45)

  • Participants can only sign up for one day a week (Monday, Wednesday OR Friday). Programming is the same for each day during the week so students cannot attend multiple days in one week.
  • Participants can register for a four-week session or sign up for both sessions, making it an eight-week program.
  • We will be offering two four-week sessions and will re-evaluate continuation in early October.
  • Groups are limited to 10 students and will be outdoors as long as it is safe to do so.
