Camps at The Gardens#

Experience an outdoor classroom like no other!

Join us on teacher workdays, spring break and all summer for fun, experiential garden adventures!  Each camp matches the season and is full of garden-centric games, exploration and art, music and cooking.  Activities are suitable for children having completed kindergarten through completed fourth grade unless otherwise noted. 

Our camps are primarily outside, if the weather allows.

  • Registration is required for all camps.

  • Scholarships are available. 

  • A 10 percent discount is offered with a membership to The Gardens.

  • Camp is held outdoors, so children should be dressed for the weather, bring water and wear sunscreen and a hat (if preferred). 

  • The Gardens does not provide meals so please pack a lunch and two snacks.

School's Out! Day Camps occur on days when school is not in session for the Poudre School District.  Activities are geared toward children ages five to ten who are currently enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade.

 9 a.m.– 3:30 p.m.  |  $70 for one-day camps | $140 for two-day camps

Scholarships are available, and pre-registration is required.

Camp Descriptions#

Garden Harvest
Oct. 3 |
$70 | Current K – 5th Graders

As the growing season starts to wind down, we celebrate harvest! Garden Harvest is an exciting time of year when we celebrate the bounty of food that our gardens have produced and help put our gardens to bed for the season.  

Halloween
Oct. 16 & 17 | $140 | Current K – 5th Graders

Ghouls, goblins, and gardens! Let’s have a spooktacular time preparing for Halloween by carving up crafts and learning about creepy crawly creatures of the night. 

Plant Friends 
Jan. 5 | $70 | Current K – 5th Graders

Scientists have been studying plants for hundreds of years and they have found that plants make us happier, healthier, and even heal faster. That sounds like a pretty good friend! Come hang out with us as we make new friends with both plants and humans!  

Winter In The Gardens
Jan. 19 | $70 | Current K – 5th Graders

What do our plants and animals do when our days become cold, snowy, and dark? Join us as we explore the beauty of winter in the gardens while also learning about the mysterious lives of animals during the cold months. 

Random Acts of Kindness
Feb. 16 | $70 | Current K – 5th Graders

It’s Random Acts of Kindness Week, and what better way to celebrate then by doing random acts of kindness throughout the day at The Gardens! We will encounter different animals, plants, and people who visit, live, or work at The Gardens on Spring Creek to brighten their day and celebrate kindness. 

Field Scientists
March 19 & 20 | $140 | Current K – 5th Graders

How many bees live at The Gardens? Do butterflies have a preference in what they eat? Join us as we try to find answers to these questions and more! As field scientists, we will be using a variety of scientific techniques to gain a better understanding of the natural world around us!

Arbor Day
April 23 & 24 | $140 | Current K – 5th Graders

Can you be-leaf it is Arbor Day!? Fort Collins has been an annual Tree City USA award recipient for over 45 years. At The Gardens, we love to celebrate the many different trees that contribute to this award. Join us as we root for our trees and go out on a limb to help them!
