Outdoor Classroom

The Gardens is the place to be when school is not in session!  Join us on teacher workdays, spring break and all summer for fun, experiential garden adventures!  Each camp is specially designed to match the season and are full of garden-centric games, exploration and art, music and cooking.  Activities are especially suitable for children having completed kindergarten through completed fourth grade.

With abundant guidance from City, County and State Health Officials, we will be hosting in-person camps with specific protocols and procedures to keep our campers, guests and staff healthy and safe.  Our camps will continue to be primarily outside, if the weather allows, or in inside spaces separate from the public.

 A few noticeable changes:

  • All campers and staff will be required to practice social distancing and wear masks when indoors.
  • Hands-free student drop-off and pick-up with symptom checking
  • Increased disinfecting and handwashing protocols
  • Registration capped at 24 campers on site with students in static groups of 10 students for most of the time

Pre-registration is required for all camps.  Scholarships are available.  A 10 percent discount is offered with a family membership to The Gardens. Camp is held outdoors, so children should be dressed for the weather, bring water and wear sunscreen and a hat (if preferred).  The Gardens does not provide meals so please pack a lunch and two snacks.

Children may be dropped off as early as 8:30 a.m. and picked up as late as 4:30 p.m., but camp programming will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The Gardens close at 5 p.m.
