Where the Garden Rots#
Gallery A & B
December 10, 2025 - December 14, 2025 | 12pm - 6pm
Exhibition Reception: Saturday, December 13, 2025 | 3pm - 5pm
Artists: Sophia Galier & Cassidy Schaub
Where the Garden Rots explores the entanglement of memory and identity. The body holds onto moments just as a landscape can become suspended in time. Both reveal fragmented visions of reality and selfhood—dreamy, dark, and at times visceral. How do we cling to memory, and how do these moments shape us, blurring the boundary between what is real and what is dreamt?
Cassidy Schaub and Sophia Galier are both BFA candidates concentrating in Painting, and have been developing their practices and bodies of work over the past four years at CSU.

Maganda#

December 10, 2025 - December 14, 2025 | 12pm - 6pm
Exhibition Reception: Friday, December 12, 2025 | 3:30pm - 5:30pm
Artist: Maddy Thompson
"Maganda"- meaning "beautiful" in Tagalog, was spoken to me as a reminder to me that beauty exists even when you don’t see it. I incorporate found, discarded objects in my work, contrasting them with organic forms and materials. Combining these elements, I create works that balance the raw and the refined, the familiar and the strange. My process explores the tension between perfection and imperfection, inviting us to reexamine what we consider beautiful. Inspired by "Maganda," I build worlds where simplicity and quietness hold power, where the smallest details invite pause, and where the act of simply existing is enough.

Through the Lens: Life Beyond Young Adult Cancer#
April 8, 2026 - April 12, 2026 | 12pm - 6pm
“Through the Lens: Life Beyond Cancer,” features the artwork of 16 young adult cancer survivors from across the country. Each artist tells their personal story revealing lived experiences of identity, loss, grief, struggles, hope, and transformation - perspectives that are often unseen in traditional cancer narratives. Through photographs, stories, paintings, and poetry these survivors invite viewers to witness the raw edges and luminous moments that define life after cancer for young adults. Through their art they advocate for equitable cancer care for young adults. The project is generously funded by Cambria Health Foundation and curated by members of The Serious Illness and End-of-Life Narratives Lab at Colorado State University and Through the Lens Young Adult Advisory Board, a group of 8 young adults guiding the vision for this exhibit. The Center for Creativity in Fort Collins hosts rotating exhibits.
