Payment Information
If you have a Fort Collins Municipal Court traffic ticket and the penalty assessment portion on the front of your ticket has been filled out, you may plead GUILTY and pay the ticket before your court date. Some tickets have "early settlement" offers. To take advantage of the early settlement (which may include a point reduction), you must pay the ticket within 20 days of the date you received the ticket. If you miss the early settlement option, you may still pay the ticket before the court date without the addition of the $35.00 Court Cost; however, the original points will be assessed against your driving record.
If the penalty assessment portion or early settlement is not filled out (for example, in most motor vehicle accident cases), payment before your court date is not an option because your appearance for arraignment is mandatory.
Municipal Court misdemeanor tickets are mandatory appearances. You must appear on the arraignment date listed on your ticket. To find out addition information, please call the Fort Collins Municipal Court Clerk's Office.
For those tickets which can be paid before your court date, payment can be made in one of the following ways:
-
Mail or Walk-in: Wait 7 days from the date you received your ticket. Bring your payment to the Fort Collins Municipal Court Clerks' Office
