Adjustment to the Maximum Penalty - 2018
Notice: Annual Adjustment of Maximum Fine
As required by Section 1-15 of the City of Fort Collins Code, the maximum fine for a violation of the Municipal Code and Charge is increased effective January 1, 2018, from $2830 to $2915. The adjustment is based on a 3.1% increase in the Consumer Price Index for Denver-Boulder-Greeley areas for the prior year as reported by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Extended Lunch Closure 3rd Wednesday of month.
Effective November 15th, 2017:
The court will close the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. for a staff meeting. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Effective immediately Friday phone hours have changed. The Friday phone hours are 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Camera Radar/Red Light Clerk's office and phone hours are as follows:
- Mon-Thur, 7:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-2:30 p.m.
- Fri 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-4:30 p.m.
The Fort Collins Municipal Court is responsible for administering the operations of the judicial branch of City government according to the ordinances adopted by City Council. Cases adjudicated in Municipal Court include traffic violations, misdemeanors, and civil infractions. Generally, cases are brought to Municipal Court by the Fort Collins Police Services, Colorado State University Police Department, Animal Control, other City departments, and private residents.
