Retail Marijuana Fees#
All fees are payable to the City of Fort Collins - Options for payment include:
ONLINE PAYMENT of fees is the preferred method.
NEW-Online: Pay City Fee online - link below-Register for your account.
Fees for paying online are as follows: ECheck - $.50. For Debit/Credit card payments is 2% plus $.25, then 2.75% over $2500. If you choose to pay by ECheck make sure you have the correct account and routing number; if incorrect, you will be charged additional fees.

By Mail check or money order: Mail fees to The City of Fort Collins, Clerk’s Office: Attn: Marijuana Licensing Clerk: City Clerk's Office 300 LaPorte Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80521
By in person: Licensees can drop off a check(s) in person at the City Clerk's office during business hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (M-F, except for holidays)

Fees for Marijuana Licenses and Amendment Applications#
Note in 2023 and 2024, the City of Fort Collins will be increasing all fees.
License application fees (set by State statute and collected by the State):
Application fees are non-refundable. If an applicant does not successfully obtain a local license, they may request a refund of the license fee by emailing a completed refund marijuana request form to the marijuana licensing

For facilities not currently licensed for retail marijuana in Fort Collins. The State (MED) Licensing Authority will collect fees pursuant to Article 10. See Marijuana Enforcement Division Fee Schedule. The applicant will need a separate check at the MED. The MED will send the local licensing authority (City of Fort Collins) the Retail Application Fees along with the application.
