A Fluid Process

Artist
Stanley Scott
Year
2016
Location
222 Laporte Ave
Description

This transformer cabinet was painted with each side representing parts of the larger water cycle in Colorado and our place within it. From snow melt being channeled to Horsetooth reservoir to being processed in water treatment for use and put back in the Cache la Poudre River.

The West side includes the complexity of the
water treatment process visually,
from source to tap, retreatment and
transit back to the river.

The East side represents the high desert backdrop
with a bio swale and natural elements as
storm water catchment design.

Everything is connected (tying
back to how our use affects nature and is
reintroduced to nature after our use) by
showing a healthy riparian ecosystem
with botanical and biological diversity.
