City Park Nine is a regulation length 9 hole municipal golf course offering enjoyment and challenges for players of all ages and abilities. Built in 1940 and located next to historic City Park and Grandview Cemetery, the course features tight fairways, small greens, and mature trees.

Course Hours: Open from dawn to dusk. Note: From March to October, the course is open 30 minutes prior to the first tee time through sundown.

Golf Simulator

New golf simulators open to the public on Monday, January 27. Book your tee time now!

Please read all rules and regulations below before booking your tee time.

  • Age Requirement: You must be 18 or older to book a simulator.
  • Responsibility for Damages: The person who books the simulator is responsible for any damage caused by them or anyone in their party.
  • Check-In: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to check-in.
  • Personal Equipment: You may use your own golf balls and clubs, but both must be clean before using them on the simulator.
  • Footwear: Shoes must be clean before stepping on the simulator mats.
  • Bathrooms: Each simulator station has access to two gender-neutral bathrooms.
  • Game Duration: Playing nine holes on the simulator takes approximately 30 minutes per person. For example, a group of six people should plan for a session lasting about three hours.
  • Safety & Station Rules:
    • Everyone must stay behind the white line in the simulator station unless it’s your turn to hit.
    • All furniture must remain behind the white lines and in its original position.

City Park Nine Herbicide Impact – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)#

On Wednesday, June 25, an herbicide was mistakenly applied to the fairways during scheduled chemical maintenance. The product used is typically intended for non-turf areas, such as under the driving range net and in tree rings, and is not safe for grass.

  • Staff are testing methods to neutralize the chemical.

  • Plans for reseeding are being developed, ideally before winter to allow spring recovery.

  • Golf leadership will continue to assess course conditions and adjust care and communication as needed.

All nine fairways are affected. The rough, greens, and other areas of the course were not impacted.

Yes, at this time, City Park Nine remains open for regular hours and play.

The goal is to reseed and establish healthy fairways before winter so the course can recover by next spring. Staff remain committed to high-quality course maintenance and a great playing experience.

Greens Fee Discount

Starting Saturday, July 5, the regular greens fee will be reduced from $28 to $18.

Pass Holder Adjustment

Annual pass holders will receive a reduced per-play fee while conditions are impacted.

  • The Stars and Stripes Tournament will take place as scheduled.

  • Staff are evaluating conditions for the City Championship and may make adjustments. Updates will be provided directly to participants and posted online.

  • Leagues will continue as planned.

Possibly. As conditions change, cart use may be limited later this summer to help protect the course and aid recovery efforts.
