The City of Fort Collins invites the community to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Farm at Lee Martinez Park, a beloved community treasure that has connected generations to Fort Collins’ agricultural heritage.
The celebration will take place on Saturday, September 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Farm (600 N. Sherwood St.). The free event will feature live music, food trucks, barnyard games, line dancing and visits with the farm animals.
Since it opened to the public in 1985, The Farm has honored the land’s legacy, from its beginnings as a dairy farm to its transformation into an education and recreation center. Nestled along the Cache la Poudre River, The Farm continues to inspire curiosity, learning and appreciation for the deep roots that have shaped Fort Collins.
“For four decades, The Farm has been a place where families and community members come together to experience a hands-on connection with our agricultural heritage,” says LeAnn Williams, City of Fort Collins Recreation Director. “We are excited to celebrate this milestone and honor the role The Farm has played in cultivating both memories and community spirit.”
Free parking for The Farm’s 40th Anniversary Celebration is available at The Farm and in the Lee Martinez Park parking lot to the east.
