Utilities' Water Catchers Award Honors Locals Who Reduce Use

Posted on: May-01-2014

Fort Collins Utilities announces the 2014 Water Catchers Award Program to recognize the efforts of customers who conserve water. Awards are available to businesses and homeowners, including individual, youth and family categories.

Nominations will be accepted until Aug. 31, and awards will be presented at the Sustainable Living Fair, on Sept. 20 or 21.

Examples of water conservation efforts include replacing high water-using toilets, re-landscaping with Xeriscape, upgrading a sprinkler system or repairing leaks. Preference is given to projects that produce measureable water savings, are innovative or can be used as a model that others can replicate.
