FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The City of Fort Collins will host the 2025 Urban Design Awards, recognizing excellence in projects that shape, beautify and enhance our built environment, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6 at the Drake Center.

Held every few years since 2006, the Urban Design Awards celebrate creativity in design that contribute positively to quality of life in Fort Collins. Projects have been nominated in categories including:

  • Urban Design Plan (master plans, subarea plans, studies)
  • Architecture (built buildings or groups of buildings)
  • Urban Fragments (public art, street furniture, lighting, etc.)
  • Sustainable Design (projects that integrate environmental, social, and economic sustainability)
  • Public Spaces (streetscapes, parks, plazas, civil infrastructure features)
  • Housing (affordable, “missing middle,” adaptive reuse, etc.)
  • Hall of Fame (honoring individuals or organizations for long-term contributions to Fort Collins’s urban design)

A volunteer selection committee composed of local designers, city board members and city staff have reviewed submissions and selected winners, which will be awarded at the event.

This year’s awards are sponsored by Elevations Credit Union.
