Kids in the Park, a free, family-focused event for the community will be held at Twin Silo Park (5552 Ziegler Road) on Sunday, April 24 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Formerly called “Kites in the Park”, this year’s event will include exciting attractions such as live music, food trucks, giant bubbles, climbing wall and obstacle course, as well as old favorites such as kite decorating and flying.
Kids in the Park is an outdoor event hosted by the City of Fort Collins Recreation Department designed to encourage community participation and play in the great outdoors. Hands-on activities, food trucks, park games, and of course, kite flying, will be available throughout the day. First National Bank is proud to serve as the Title Sponsor for the Kids in the Park event, providing free kites for the first 500 children who attend.
Twin Silo Park opened in November 2017 on the southeast side of Fort Collins. The 54-acre park is home to community gardens, a BMX course, pickleball courts, a dog park, ball diamonds, multi-purpose turf fields, and a large playground that features a silo slide. Free parking for Kids in the Park attendees will be available at Fossil Ridge High School.
