On May 2, 2021 at approximately 1:20 am, Fort Collins Police was notified of an adult female who was possibly assaulted. Officers arrived and learned that a verbal disturbance between two groups of people had become physical, at which time the woman was injured. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment and has since been released. Investigating officers recently received security video that captured the involved parties and are asking for the community's help identifying them. FCPS is looking for two men (pictured) who were a part of the group and may have information about what occurred.
"While the video quality isn't extremely clear, we're hoping someone will recognize the men in the picture," said Assistant Chief John Feyen, who leads the Special Operations Division, including the District One Downtown unit. "We appreciate any leads that will help us find answers for the young woman who was injured."
The incident occurred east of the intersection at Oak St. and S. College Ave. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this incident. If you recognize these individuals or have any information please call Corporal Mindy Nace at 970-416-2647. People who wish to remain anonymous may also contact Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868 or www.stopcriminals.org.
