City announces update meeting, survey on Wireless Master Plan
- Will Lindsey, Associate Planner, , email@example.com
The City of Fort Collins will hold a virtual meeting on Monday, March 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to provide an update on the ongoing development of the Wireless Master Plan.
In addition, the project team has opened a survey for residents to voice their opinions on wireless communication infrastructure such as cell phone towers.
A link to the Zoom meeting will be posted on the day of the meeting on the project webpage (https://ourcity.fcgov.com/wirelessmasterplan). The survey is also available at that link.
The Wireless Master Plan is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of existing wireless infrastructure within the Fort Collins Growth Management Area and help ensure that any future deployments do not create unnecessary or redundant wireless infrastructure. The effort will also help guide updates to City policy and Land Use Code standards related to wireless telecommunication facilities.
The meeting will feature an overview of the analysis conducted since Fall 2020 and an update on the plan’s development. Staff and consultants will be available to discuss the planning process, existing conditions, and other questions related to regulations for wireless service.
