The City of Fort Collins has released a draft set of prioritized strategies that will be included in the City’s upcoming Housing Strategic Plan and is asking for public feedback on those strategies.

The prioritized strategies are a set of actions the City can take to address a variety of housing issues in Fort Collins. They are available for review at and will be included in the final Housing Strategic Plan. A comment form is also available at that website.

When complete, the Housing Strategic Plan will guide the City’s housing policy and create a framework for investments in the housing system.

While previous plans have focused on designated affordable housing, the current update will address the entire housing spectrum of needs in our community. The draft vision is that everyone has stable, healthy housing they can afford and reflects the shift in how the City is thinking about housing for all.

The Housing Strategic Plan has been informed and supported by public engagement, dialogue, and capacity-building through the Home2Health project.

A full draft of the Housing Strategic Plan will be available at on Jan. 13. City staff will return to a Council work session on Jan. 26 to discuss prioritization and implementation of the Housing Strategic Plan. The Plan will be brought to City Council for consideration of adoption on Feb. 16.
