Normal parking enforcement will resume at City of Fort Collins parking structures on Oct. 1 following the “three for free” promotion earlier this summer.
Since July, those parking in the City’s parking structures could park for up to three hours free of charge. The policy was in coordination with the Downtown Development Authority and was meant to help promote businesses in Downtown Fort Collins. It was scheduled to end on Sept. 30, and the City is moving forward with that plan.
After Sept. 30, parking structures will resume normal fees. Parking will still be free for the first hour, and then $1 per hour for each additional hour at all parking structures.
Users must initiate a parking session regardless of the duration of stay. Drivers should use pay kiosks or the FC Parking app to initiate a session and pay applicable parking fees.
The City has three public parking structures. The Firehouse Alley parking structure is located at 160 Chestnut St., the Old Town parking structure is located at the corner of Remington Street and Mountain Avenue, and the Civic Center parking structure is located at the corner of Mason Street and Laporte Avenue.
