FORT COLLINS, CO – 9 local businesses and organizations have joined a pilot “ambassador” program through the For Fort Collins initiative which encourages the community to shop and buy local while helping businesses reopen safe and strong.
ForFortCollins.com is a marketing and public relations campaign aimed at encouraging community members to support local businesses, especially those in the industries most impacted by COVID-19, such as restaurants, retail, creatives, salons, manufacturers and more.
As part of the program, the ambassador cohort will have the opportunity to learn from a local marketing agency, Old Town Media, to enhance their marketing knowledge and skills. The tips shared with the ambassadors will also be shared publicly for all Fort Collins businesses to utilize.
Business ambassadors include:
- Downtown Creative District
- Gilded Goat Brewing Co.
- Happy Lucky’s Tea House
- Lima Coffee Roasters
- Malama Massage & Bodywork
- Poudre River Library District
- Rythm EFX
- The Otter Shop
- The Taco Stop
“We are so excited to work along other small businesses and to share our same love for Fort Collins with our community. We love all the stories shared on the For Fort Collins page and getting to know other small business owners through it,” said Amanda Lima of Lima Coffee Roasters. “It’s amazing that our city would create something like this to share with local businesses to strengthen our community. What an amazing way to share the heart of Fort Collins business owners and spread some light during these tough times!”
ForFortCollins.com was launched in partnership with the City of Fort Collins, Downtown Business Association, Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce, Midtown Business Improvement District, and Visit Fort Collins.
Business leaders can find re-opening plans, marketing tools, and a social media asset creator. Community members can find shareable assets and a toolkit filled with different ways to show their support to those impacted. The site also includes a Spanish language translation option.
