The City of Fort Collins Streets Department is scheduled to complete asphalt paving on Drake Road from Timberline Road to Harvard Street (just east of College Avenue) starting Monday, July 6.
During construction, Drake Road will be closed in one direction at a time in phases to allow for resident and business access. The project will take 17 to 20 days, weather permitting.
Phase 1 begins July 6 and will be from Timberline Road to Lemay Avenue. When paving begins, the westbound lanes of Drake will be closed first, followed by the eastbound lanes.
Phase 2 will begin after Phase 1 and will be from Lemay Avenue to Harvard Street. Like in the first phase, the westbound lanes of Drake will be closed followed by the eastbound lanes.
Drivers should keep the project in mind when planning routes and are reminded to use caution in work zones.
This work will be completed as part of the Street Maintenance Program. A map showing project phases is attached to this press release.
COVID-19: Work crews are aware of social distancing requirements. Every effort will be made to ensure workers are maintaining a safe distance and following proper hygiene. Sick employees will not be allowed to work.
Project dates are estimates based on favorable conditions; variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
