The City of Fort Collins Streets Department is scheduled to conduct asphalt resurfacing on West Elizabeth Street between City Park Avenue and Taft Hill Road starting the week of June 15.
Elizabeth Street will remain open to traffic and to allow for resident and business access. The project is expected to last approximately five to six days. Following the project, the road will be restriped with a new configuration.
Weather has a large influence on the schedule, and construction may be delayed because of precipitation or unforeseen circumstances. A project map is attached.
The West Elizabeth project aims to address safety concerns and improve conditions for corridor users, especially bicyclists and pedestrians, through the restriping of the roadway to 3 lanes through the entire project area, and the addition of buffered bike lanes and crossing improvements.
