The City of Fort Collins invites community members to participate in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan update, titled ReCreate: Rethink. Renew. Reimagine. The ReCreate: Parks and Recreation Master Plan update will address the future growth, planning and maintenance of the city’s parks, recreation facilities and trail systems.
“A key component to the Master Plan update is engagement with community stakeholders, including those who are currently using our facilities, programs and services, and those who may use them in the future,” said Kurt Friesen, Director of Park Planning & Development. “Planning for the future is of high importance to all of us in Parks, Recreation, and Park Planning & Development, and hearing from our community about what they truly value is a vital part of that process.”
Community members are invited to get involved in the ReCreate: Parks and Recreation Master Plan by visiting one of two open houses and sharing feedback.
Open houses will be held on:
- Feb. 6 at The Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia St., from 5 – 8 p.m.
- Feb. 8 at Preston Middle School, 4901 Corbett Dr., from 9 a.m. to noon
- A children’s activity, bilingual materials and language access services will be available at both events.
